Robert L. McGlothen, 84, of Xenia, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015, at Liberty Nursing Center. He was born June 3, 1930, in West Middletown, Ohio, the son of Albert and Eunice Heizer McGlothen. He was a member of the Memorial United Presbyterian Church, and was the founder of Bob McGlothen Plumbing and Heating, He is survived by his wife, Juanita (Borden) McGlothen, whom he married, June 30, 1950, five children, Dennis K. (Diana) McGlothen, Douglas E. (Jane) McGlothen, David A. (Kimberly) McGlothen, Denise M. (Ron) Mentzer and Darren C. (Amy) McGlothen, 8 grandchildren, Debra K. (Don, Jr.) Fleming, Kimberly Dawn (Mike) Mockabee, Lisa Marie (Matt) Bullard, Michael B. McGlothen, Dustin S. (Theresa) McGlothen, Stacy Reese, Kristy Mentzer, and Brandon Mentzer, 14 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 1 step-great-grandchild, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, by a half-sister, and by a granddaughter, Sara McGlothen. Services will be held at 10am Friday, March 13, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Thursday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.
