Roger H. Conklin, 90, of Xenia, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at his residence. He was born December 10, 1927, in Greene County, Ohio, the son of Cecil and Elsie Stingley Conklin. He was a lifelong Greene County Farmer, member of Farm Bureau, and was active with Greene County 4-H and FFA. He was a 1945 graduate of Xenia High School and was a member of Xenia Nazarene Church. He is survived by two sons, Kevin (Nancy) Conklin, Xenia, and Brian (Teresa) Conklin, Middletown, three grandchildren, Jheremy Conklin, Springfield, Kristina (Tyler) Huston, Lancaster, and Nicole (Joey) Schmidt, Davenport, FL, three great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Emma and David, by step-children, Paulette (Stephen) Blum, Michele Heaton, and Matthew (Stephanie) Heaton, all of Cincinnati, and by Jim Leach, Johnnie (Kathy) Fugate, Nancy (Jeff) Gordon, Tom Fugate, Lynn Reed (Chuck Staruch), Patty Edwards, Doug (Frankie) Fugate, by numerous step-grand and step-great-grandchildren, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Ethel Conklin, in 1976, his second wife, Dolores Conklin, in 1994, and by his third wife, Ruth E. Conklin, in 2013. Roger will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 11am, Monday, October 29, at Xenia Nazarene Church, with Rev. Michael Hancock and Harold Horton officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Sunday at the church. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Miami Valley, 46 N.
