Ruby Alene Lakin, 68, of Xenia, passed away Monday, June 10, 2024. She was born August 6, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Henry and Martha Noe Gabbard. She was a member of Dayton Avenue Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth E. Lakin, whom she married, June 2, 1978, a daughter, Christine Elaine Hubin, a grandson, Connor Hubin, a brother, Henry (Michelle) Gabbard, Jr., all of Xenia, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by a nephew, Matthew Gabbard. Alene will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Private services will be held by the family in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
