Ruth Woneda Jarrell, 88, of Xenia, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Hospitality Home East. She was born December 31, 1927, in Fayette County, Ohio, the daughter of Clarence and Myrtle Bell Barton Bartruff. She was a member of St. Brigid Church and lived most of her life in Xenia. She is survived by a daughter, Kay Jimerson, Xenia, a step-daughter, Haze (Richard) Day, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, a cousin, Sondra Bartruff, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Douglas E. Jarrell, on November 6, 1990, by a daughter, Joy Helfrich, a granddaughter, and by two sisters, Marjorie and Alice. Graveside services will be held at 10am, Tuesday, March 29, at St. Brigid Cemetery, Xenia. There will be no visitation. Contributions may be made to the VFW Post # 2402, Auxiliary, 850 W.
