Ruth A. Johnson, 72, of Xenia, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born May 3, 1941, in Cedarville, Ohio, the daughter of Vernon Walters and Doris M. Swaney Butts. She married Charles Joseph Johnson on June 25, 1960. She is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Lora Everhart, Janie Darnell, and Amy (Kirt) Spencer, and a son and daughter-in-law, Tim (Kathy) Johnson, all of Xenia, ten grandchildren, Tim (Monique) Johnson, Tom Johnson, Ashley (Tom) Hise, Josh Darnell, Chad Darnell, Amber Johnson, Joey Everhart, Corey Johnson, Meghan Spencer, and Lacey Spencer, eight great-grandchildren, Jordan Johnson, Tatianna "Tot" Johnson, Savanna Jones, Stella Everhart, Kaden Lampka, Kaleb Hise, Trintin Johnson, and Orion Darnell, three sisters and brothers-in-law, Trudy (Michael) Kimes, Warsaw, IN, Evelyn Spivey, Fairborn, and Marilyn (Ray) Gifford, Muncie, IN, three brothers, Albert R. Butts, Hillsboro, Roy F. Butts, Hocking County, OH, and Keith L. Butts, Xenia, by several nieces and nephews, a good friend and brother-in-law, Richard Hyde, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles J. Johnson, on January 20, 2006, two sisters, Virginia Hyde and Jeanne Pittman Bunch, and by two brothers, Robert G. Butts and John E. Butts. Ruth will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 11am, Friday, August 2, 2013, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia.
