Ruth Anna Pease, 93, of Xenia, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Friends Care Center, Yellow Springs. She was born December 5, 1929, in Washington C.H., Ohio, the daughter of Vora and Dorothy Miller Brown. She was a member of St. Brigid Church. She is survived by her husband, James E. Pease, whom she married, July 18, 1953, a daughter, Sharon (Ronald) Rust, a son, Michael (Rae) Pease, a son-in-law, Joel Marzeski, seven grandchildren, Erik (Jill) Roush, Triest (Jonathan) Reynard, Ian Roush, Tristan Marzeski, Ronnie (Lindsay) Pease, Steffan Pease, and Leah Pease, four step-grandchildren, Melissa (Randy) Johnson, Nancy (Steve) Henne, Sally Moore, and Emily (Terry) Rasor, five great-grandchildren, eleven step-great-grandchildren, six step-great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Mary (Michael) Edwards, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. Ruth was a devoted wife and mother who treated her role of homemaker as a vocation. She enjoyed dining out and trips with her family to the Great Smoky Mountains. She was an avid reader and until recently an avid walker. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Patricia Marzeski, a sister and by five brothers. Ruth will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family is enormously greatful for the excellent care she received at Friends and the sensitive and loving way in which they treated her passing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am, Wednesday, June 21, at St. Brigid Church, 312 Fairground Rd., Xenia. Visitation will be held from 10am Wednesday, until service time. Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH, 45420, in her memory.
