Ruth Lois Skinner, 91, of Xenia, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016, at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born July 10, 1925, in Walkerton, Indiana, the daughter of Dell and Goldie Easterday Pearish. She was a member of the Neal Chapter of the Easter Star, # 522 O.E.S., Springfield, and retired as the chairperson of the Dental Hygiene Department at Sinclair Community College.  She is survived by her children, Rodney (Luanne) Skinner, Xenia, Kurt (Linda) Skinner, Springfield, Sue (Cliff) Brockman, Xenia, by four grandchildren, Clifford Brockman, III, Xenia, Cassandra Brockman, Columbus, David Skinner, Newton, NH, and Aliza Skinner, Springfield, five great-grandchildren, Austin, Maxwell, Samuel, Isela, and Anabelle, a sister, Patsy Skinner, Burbank, CA, by numerous nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Skinner on December 21, 1967, a son, David Skinner, and by 12 brothers and sisters. Lois will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial visitation will be held from 6-7:30pm Thursday, January 5, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Eastern Star services at 7:30pm.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 31 W. Whipp Rd., Dayton, OH, 45459, in her memory.
