Obituary

Ryan Thomas Manley, our kind loving son and very best friend, went to his home with his beloved God on June 2nd, 2015, after a gritty battle with a long term illness. His pain is gone forever. The son of Kevin and Sharon Manley was born on August 28th, 1988 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton Ohio. To remember Ryan, remember his soft enormous heart. Ryan was the kindest person we ever knew. Raised in Beavercreek, Ohio and in Church of the Cross, United Methodist Church. Ryan excelled in academics and athletics, especially as a baseball pitcher. His idyllic youth was spent playing ball, weekly family horse farm visits, Church activities, hunting wild game and mushrooms, and long stays at the family cabin. His favorite places and activities were family vacations on Sanibel Island, four-wheeling with his petrified mom on the back, annual striper fishing trips with his dad, video gaming, playing and sleeping with his four dogs, Reds and Bengals games, and home cooked meals. Ryan dearly loved his church family and the many, many hours spent with Pastor John. Ryan was a graduate of Beavercreek High School and Wright State University. Ryan had laid the ground work for a new family barbeque sauce business for his career. He was currently employed with Alpha-Omega. Ryan and his parents tried to never miss a chance to say "I love you" followed with a huge bear hug. We thank God for the gift of Ryan for nearly 27 years, his loving kind heart, intellect, and wicked sense of humor. His favorite Bible verse is John 3:16 and his favorite prayer is the Serenity prayer. Ryan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Margaret Fogwell, and paternal grandparents, T. Dale and Jeanne Manley and is survived by his loving parents Kevin and Sharon Manley. Aunts and Uncles, Mark and Anne Manley of Xenia, Ohio; Thomas Fogwell of Texas; Julie True of Frankfort, Kentucky; and his big sister Rachel Manley of Franklin, Tennessee; Cousins Ethan Manley of Xenia, Ohio; Caroline and Maggie Fogwell of Texas; His new grandparents, Jack and Donna Hickey of Hillsboro, Ohio. His beloved dogs, Pawley, Gumbo, Mickey, and Casey. Services will be held at Church of the Cross, United Methodist Church, 3121 Wilmington Pike Kettering, Ohio on Thursday, June 11. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the church with services immediately following, Pastor John Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow services in Woodland Cemetery, 281 Dayton Ave, Xenia, OH, 45385. Condolences may be made to the family at NeeldFuneralHome@aol.com. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be sent to the Ryan Manley Scholarship Fund, Wright State University Foundation, 3640 Colonel Glenn Highway, Dayton, Ohio 45435 or Church of the Cross, United Methodist Church.
