Shirley E. (King) Shepherd, 83, of Xenia, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Soin Medical Center. She was born November 4, 1935, in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of Harry and Jessie Dillon King. She was a member of Fellowship Tabernacle. She is survived by a daughter, Diane Shepherd, Waverly, a son, Ottis Wayne (Paula) Shepherd, Jr., New Lebanon, four grandchildren, Gary (Nancy) Hensley, Farmersville, Reggie (Nikki) Wax, Chillicothe, Katti (Shawn) Swearingen, Hillsboro, and Shelby (Shepherd) Artz, Eaton, seventeen great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter, by in-laws, nieces, nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ottis W. Shepherd, Sr., on January 26, 2018, by five sisters, and by six brothers. Shirley will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 10am, Wednesday, November 21, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
