Obituary

Stanley Lamar Delaney, 88, of Xenia, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 20, 2025. He was born April 18, 1937, in Jackson, Ohio, the son of Robert and Clara Conley Delaney. He was a 1954 graduate of Jefferson High School, a veteran of the United States Army, and was member of the First Church of Christ, Xenia. He is survived by his wife, Katherine (Letner) Delaney, whom he married, August 14, 1967, a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Delaney, four grandchildren, Kellen, Afton, Marin, and Gillian Delaney, a brother, Bobby (Carolyn) Delaney, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Chad Delaney, and by five brothers, Glenn, Lester, Chester, Willard, and Floyd Delaney. Lamar will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A Celebration of Lamar's life will be held at 11am, Friday, August 29, at the First Church of Christ, Xenia.  Visitation will be held from 9am Friday, until service time. Private burial will be held by the family in Valley View Memorial Gardens.
