Sylvia Jean Carwile, 83, of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton. She was born March 5, 1937, in Somerset, Kentucky, the daughter of David and Natalie Burton. She was a 1955 graduate of Somerset High School. She is survived by her husband, M. "Corky" Carwile, whom she married, March 17, 1956, her only daughter, Kimberly (Howard) Mellman, West Palm Beach, Florida, her beloved grandson, Max Mellman, Brooklyn, New York, niece, by marriage, Rita (Wallace) Reid, great-niece, Leigh Ann (Brian) Layman, Atlanta, GA, great-great-niece, Harper, and by many close friends. Her sisters, Clara and Freida predeceased Sylvia. Sylvia will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Diabetes Dayton, 2555 S.
