Thelma D. (Brooks) Paxton, 89, of Xenia, passed away Monday, August 25, 2014, at Liberty Nursing Center. She was born February 5, 1925, in Middletown, Ohio, the daughter of William and Edith Sparks Brooks. She is survived by her children, Julie Minch, Xenia, Nancy Line, Rick Paxton, both of Kettering, and Timothy E. (Linda) Paxton, Texas, 10 grandchildren, Darla Paxton, Ginger Snyder, Chris (Christine) Paxton, Amie (Scott) Thordsen, Jenny Line, Joey Line, Jackie Line, Adam Minch, Lisa (Landon) Curtis, and Kara Minch, 13 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, a brother, Louie Brooks, Xenia, numerous nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Marvin E. "Pete" Paxton, on September 27, 1992, by a son-in-law, Joseph Minch, five sisters, and by two brothers. Thelma will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Graveside services will be held at 10am, Saturday, August 30, at Valley View Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation.
