Thelma Jean Scott, 73, of Xenia, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016, at Greene Memorial Hospital. She was born January 27, 1943, in Jonesville, Virginia, the daughter of Robert and Lola Reece Hines. She retired from the Elano Corporation in 2006. She is survived by a daughter, Sonya (Mark) Fowler, Xenia, a son, Tracy Scott (Donna), Jamestown, three grandchildren, Rachel Fowler, Heather Fowler, and Austin Scott, a sister, Cecile Corbin, Florida, by numerous nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bernard M. Scott, on July 30, 2015, and by eleven siblings, Robert Hines, Jr., Lucille Burgin, Eula Walters, Gladys Orr, Verna Gibson, Vivian Garrett, Ray Hines, Jack Hines, Nina Pierce, Alice Walters, and Beulah True. Thelma will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  Services will be held at 7pm, Monday, November 21, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Rev. Ronald Swiger officiating.  Visitation will be held from 6pm Monday, until service time at the funeral home.
