Violet B. Stanaford, 79, of Xenia, went Home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Trinity Community of Beavercreek. She was born November 28, 1935, in Wallins Creek, Kentucky, the daughter of Ray and Martha Caldwell Brown. She was a 1954 graduate of Wallins High School. She attended Bethel Community Church, and was a member of the Eastern Star, Beavercreek Lodge, #570. She was formerly employed at NCR and retired from the Plasco Corporation. She is survived by her husband, Harold Stanaford, whom she married, December 21, 1963, a daughter, Karen (John) Miller, Ft. Wayne, IN, 2 grandchildren, Adam and Sara, a sister, Laura "Louie" Class, Dayton, a brother, Herbert (Cynthia) Brown, Westminster, SC, sisters-in-law, Dorothy Brown, and Wilma Nolan, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends, including special family friends, Kathie and Dwight Salyers, and the Crummie family. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Ruth Caldwell, and by four brothers, Charles Brown, J.D. Nolan, Granville "G.P." Nolan, and William Nolan. Services will be held at 10am, Monday, September 28, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Rev. John Lockwood officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.
