Virginia Lee Mosley, 92, of Xenia, took her stairway to heaven on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Friends Care Community, Yellow Springs. She was born January 22, 1932, in Minersville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Adam and Gertrude Woodford Schlitzer. She was a member of New Beginnings Baptist Church, and retired from DESC. She is survived by a son, Ronald A. Mosley, Xenia, two daughters, Cynthia Barrett, Peebles, and Janet (Chris) Brumley, Louisville, KY, grandchildren, Alexandra Brumley, Thomas White, and Jason White, family adopted children, Nancy Jean (Richard) Williams and Tonya Robinson, 6 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lloyd R. Mosley, on July 22, 2001, and by a son, Jeffrey A. Mosley, on December 25, 1999. Virginia will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 11am, Monday, April 29, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Visitation will be held from 10am Monday until service time. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Greene County Special Olympics, JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) Cincinnati, Ohio, or to the American Heart Association in her memory.
