Mr. Keith Brickel, of Lopatcong Township, New Jersey, previously of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Provincetown, Massachusetts and originally of Xenia, Ohio, passed away on July 10. Keith was born on July 18, 1939, in Xenia OH and was the son of Willard and Betty Turner Brickel. He was a 1957 graduate of Xenia Central High School and a 1961 graduate of Wilmington College where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 1969, Keith earned a Master of Arts degree from the University of Dayton. Throughout his life Keith was a person of high intellect and creativity, characteristics he would put to particularly beneficial use in his careers as a teacher, an innkeeper and a part time actor in community theater. Keith was a courageous person throughout his life's journey and is remembered fondly by friends and family for his wit and sense of humor. He is survived by his niece Bettina Socci and her husband Edward of Stewartsville, New Jersey, his nephew Derek Bussey and his wife Karen of Smith's Grove, Kentucky and by great-nieces and great-nephews; Dominic, John, Joseph, and Nicholas Socci, and Kaleb, Erica, and Brock Bussey, and by his many close friends. Keith was preceded in death by his parents, and by his beloved sister, Beverly Jane Stoneburner Koogler. Keith was laid to rest in Spring Valley Cemetery.
