Wavelene L. (Bell) Smith, 96, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Ohio's Hospice of Dayton. She was born October 19, 1921, in Junction City, Ohio, the daughter of Harley and Mabel Poling Bell. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Xenia, where she served as a deaconess for many years. She is survived by two daughters, Betty (Chuck) White, Florida, and Shirley Mundinger, Kettering, a son, John (JoAnn) White, Franklin Furnace, 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Fred Vinson Smith, a daughter, Barbara Ebert, three grandchildren, a sister, and by two brothers. Wavelene will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Graveside services will be held at 11am Monday, June 18, at Valley View Memorial Gardens. Xenia.
