William Sitterle (Papa) Hagler, 75, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014. Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed unexpectedly and is now with his Lord. He was a 1957 graduate of Xenia Central High School and The Ohio State University (Electrical Engineering). He retired from Bell Laboratories and AT & T. We remember his kindness, humor, "too long" stories and the love and friendship he shared every day. He will be greatly missed by many. He was born January 13, 1939, in Xenia, Ohio, to the late William Glenn and Harriett A. Sitterle Hagler. He is survived by his wife, Marcia, children, Amy (Charles) Markulis, Glenn (Maureen) Hagler, Richard (Sheila) Zwelling, Rhonda Zwelling (Patrick), grandchildren, Paul, Molly, Daniel (Diana), Austen, Reilly, Alexa, and Emma, by two sisters, Mary Jo (John) Morrow, and Ellen (Paul) Brower, a brother, Robert A. Hagler, several nieces and nephews, and by too many wonderful family and friends to list. The sorrow we feel is softened only by his profound impact; the love, kindness, wisdom, and faith he provided us all. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia. Contributions may be made to Colson Prison Fellowship Ministries, 44180 Riverside Parkway, Landsdown, VA, 20176, in his memory.
