Wilma E. Stroup, 82, of Xenia, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Greene Memorial Hospital. She was born June 11, 1940, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Otto and Marie Brackney Boerner. She was a 1958 graduate of Spring Valley High School, a member of the Spring Valley United Methodist Church, and former member of the Xenia Music Club, and was an avid gardener. She is survived by two daughters, Jenifer (Travis) Lansing, and Shery (Billy) Baker, a daughter-in-law, Debby Stroup, six grandchildren, Zachery (Amanda Ruth) Stroup, Cory (Malissa) Stroup, Alysa Snell (Dagny Varga), Tahner (Kaili) Snell, Ezra Baker and Ally Baker, by four great-grandchildren, Abigail, Ava, Olivia, and Aiden Stroup, two sisters, Pat Stevenson and Belinda Snyder, a brother, Donald Boerner, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James R. Stroup, on March 8, 2015, and by a son, Samuel Stroup. Wilma will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held from 10am-12noon, Saturday, September 10, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family in Spring Valley Cemetery.
